I have Track IR 4 Hardware with Track IR 5 software!

WORKS GREAT!!!! in (Flaming Cliffs 2) YEAH BABY!!!!!

Now my prablamo is I can't get it to work in MS Flight Simulator X! OUCH...

I know there are keyboard command conflicts with MSFS X, what else?

Oh did I mention Track IR works great in "IL2 Storm 1946" too on my computer as well as all DCS flight sim's. Love WartHog!

OK guys let me know what I am not doing properly here on the board so I don't get any responses. I will take constructive criticism.

I have a 2004 SONY VIAO computer with 2Gig Ram and a 32 bit processor. 2x200 Gig HD in RAID ZERO WINDOWS XP I know I shoud get a new computer!

Just a few quick questions: What version of windows? Have you fully updated FSX? Do you have any antivirus or firewall software running (including the windows firewall)?

Windows XP sp3 Windows Anti Virus and Firewall disabled. Internet modem turned off.

What version of FSX? Are you running any service packs?

If you load FSX then alt-tab out to the TrackIR software, does it see that FSX is running?

same problems here I can not get Track ir to work with MS FSX or the new
FSUIPC Superbug F/A18

It sees it the yellow light is on but no movement.

TrackIR and FSX are, and have been fully compatible. There are issues, occasinally, with permissions on installation that can cause them to not talk properly, which is why we recommend installing the TrackIR program by selecting "run as administrator". Additionally, elevating both TrackIR and FSX is useful. This can be done by right clicking the shortcut and selecting "Run as administrator" or going to properties, and enabling "always run as administrator" in the compatibility tab. This should probably be tried on both programs.

As Simconnect uses a local loopback connection over TCP/IP, the firewall may be an issue as well.

One other possible factor might be if you happen to have FSX installed on your C drive. I have read about many FSX issues being corrected simply by running it on a different drive. I have my FSX installation on a drive all by itself, on a Win7x64 PC and Track-IR 5.1 seems to work fine with it.

I am researching one question, but it isn't a crucial issue. I would like to know if there is a way to enable all 6DOF when running FSX in external view (watching the outside of the aircraft)? By default it disables the pitch axis in external view, and only allows the yaw axis view to change with the Track-IR.

That one's specific to the game, and can't be changed by the TrackIR software.

got it working by uninstalling trak ir 4, clean regitry.
Install track ir 5 run FSX reconized off the bat.
Installed track ir 4 run FSX found it this time.

All working

Allso make sure you delet all folders before reinstalling.
