Hi,

when using active USB 2.0 extension cables for the USB hubs to the computer, is it nessessary to use the same amount of extensions for every hub.

Let's say one hub needs only one extension of 5m, but for the 2nd the distance to the computer ist too long and I would need two of the active extensions. Should I drive both hubs with 2 active USB cables to have the same amount of amplifiers in both cables?

Interesting question. No, they can have a different number of active extensions, as long as there are no more than 2.
