Anyone having this problem? I can't seem to find a solution on here. Please help.

When I install the program. It just sits there for 2 minutes at 15%.

And then this error shows up.

"Error extracting support files:

Server execution failed"

I am running Windows XP 32-bit. And I am just frustrated now. Someone said to update the installshield, but when I downloaded the installshield, it's some sort of installshield maker, which I don't need. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I'm pulling my hair out on this problem.

***I FOUND THE SOLUTION***

This is for the people who have the same problem as me but never found the answer. Here is the solution.


If the file version number starts with 6:

Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\engine from the machine.
Download IkernelUpdate.exe.
Once downloaded, double-click it. This installs the InstallShield engine for your installation.

This worked for me.

It was also hard to find the file IkernelUpdate.exe since the website (consumer.installshield.com/) that hosts this file is dead.
