Unable to map hotheys to mouse buttons

Post by Dabird »

v5.1.300 on Win7 x64, installed and run as administrator. I am unable to map any of the hotkey functions to buttons 4 or 5 on my Logitech Performance MX mouse. Updated the Logitech driver and app but no change. Have uninstalled Trackir sw, cleaned up remnants and re-installed, no change. Please advise.

Will a hotkey map to buttons 1, 2, or 3 properly?

Yes it will, at least for 1 and 2 (L&R). 3 has an application switcher function already. Logitech mouse driver is v5.33.10.0 9/1/2011 Logitech HID-Compliant Unifying Mouse. Also just using standard kb. In Logitech SW, I removed all assignments from buttons 3,4 and 5 and tried to remap center and pause to 4 and 5. No change. It's like it's not correctly identifying my mouse but don't see any way to specify within Trackir. Device manager also shows 3 additional HID-compliant mouse(s). All 3 using MS driver v6.1.7600.16385 6/21/2006. Removed them and rescanned for HW changes and they all came back as expected. Thank you for helping.

Would it be easier if I were to just call in for some real time support next week? Thank you.

Does it work with a different, less driver complex mouse?
