Re: No lights. Software crashes on startup
Just wanted to update to say TrackIR 5 is now working. I had a separate issue with not being able to copy large numbers of files from my USB drive and it turns out to be an nVidia USB driver issue related to the ability to map more than 3gb of RAM on 64bit machines. Microsoft released a hotfix which...

Re: No lights. Software crashes on startup
I have managed to get the darn thing working by installing the older software version 4.
There is certainly something wrong with version 5 of the software under Win7 64bit, strange because it worked fine before I upgraged to Win7.
Regards

Re: TrackIR 5 range
<t>Ok, no problem, thanks for the answer.. thats interesting so behind is an option.. might be difficult with my setup. <br/> <br/> What about 6 ft but off centre to the left (2ft left of the centre), I understand this probably lowers accuracy but does the software have the ability to configure that...

Re: TrackIR 5 range
<t>Ill take the lack of response as a "Sorry no".<br/> <br/> Thats a shame, so the 2-5ft range seems to be a stumbling block for ppl with projectors, damn! <br/> <br/> I guess I will have to look at alternatives like FreeTrack, I think because that works with any webcam I might be able to get a high...

TrackIR 5 range
<t>I want to buy the TrackIR 5 but I have a slightly non-standard setup. <br/> <br/> I have a large projector with the main computer above and behind the viewing position. <br/> <br/> I estimate that the viewing position is 12ft from the projector. I estimate that the total distance a wire would hav...
