ok now I deleted all those files in the Winsxs folder, and reinstalled FSX... STILL NOTHING!!! I'm really bummed out about this. I did run both with admin priv.

now about deleting these winsxs stuff, it won't let me do it.l.. any trick to it? I installed kubuntu so I could access them without windows' help but having trouble starting kubuntu up so....

yes, SP1 and SP2 are installed on there, I'm going to run them as admin and see what happens, but I never had to do that before, and it was always working just fine
