For me, the fix (per Vincent's advice) turned out to be an FSX uninstall, deletion of the two Simconnect folders, then a complete reinstall. TrackIR now recognized and all problems solved at this point.

Am having the same problem -- just sent an e-mail about it to [email]support@naturalpoint.com.[/email] Have tried all fixes suggested in this thread, with no luck. TrackIR4 worked fine with FSX prior to SP1, and still works with FS2004. But now FSX doesn't recognize it, post-SP1. System is a Dell XP...
