I have a new problem with Track IR5 Final B after installing, then uninstalling EZDok's EZCA add-on for FSX. I've done the install/uninstall routine a couple of times in the past with no problems. But this time, for some reason, it's hosed my Track IR installation. In order to get Track IR back to its virgin state, I uninstalled, then reinstalled it. Again, this has worked for me in the past. But this time I wasn't able to uninstall - an instance of TrackIR kept running after I uninstalled it using Control Panel Install/Uninstall programs. I was finally able to get rid of that by killing the TrackIR process. Then, on a later attempt, just to be safe, following a suggestion from the forums, I removed all NaturalPoint references from the registry.
Every time I reinstall Track IR 5, the following happens: installation goes fine, hardware is recognized and performs correctly. I set up the software for TrackClip Pro, run at startup, run minimized, profile set to smooth, exclusive checked. Then I minimize the software.
When I restart, I get a full Track IR window. Settings have reverted to default (default profile, TrackClip (not Pro). The startup settings (run at startup, run minimized) have disappeared.
It's not a major thing to change the settings, but I'd like to be able to avoid doing this every time.
Any idea what might be wrong and what I can do to fix it?
Sorry, I ought to add system specs. Am on Windows 7 Home Premium 64, Core i7 980 clocked to 4.48, Asus P6T Deluxe, EVGA GTX 480 SC, 6Mb Mushkin Redline DDR 3 12800 @ 1600 MHz @ 6-8-6-24.
Thanks in advance.

Try right clicking on the exe, and selecting run as admin, before making your changes

Thanks, Vincent.
For some reason that I don't begin to understand, the problem seems to have resolved itself without my having done anything. What can I say? Windows 7 is a mystery... as is FSX...
Just to be safe, I've selected run as administrator and I hope that'll keep the problem from recurring. I hope it does the job. If not, I'll let you know.
Thanks again!
