I can attach the receiver to the side of the TV?

How high above my head is the top of the TV?
I'm at work right now and not at home, maybe about 1 ft. abvove my head (or 1'6" at the most).

Some pre-buying questions.

I have a 50" Plasma TV as a game monitor and therefore "it sits pretty high" over me as it sits on my desk, so I was wondering if this had ever been done before, and if it is a forseen possible issue.
