2 Temp Fixes For Lock On Centering Issue

is there any news what the plan for fixing this thing is?
I bought the trackIR2 with only LoMac in mind and its such a pitty thats its just sitting there on my monitor even though the lights are pretty to look at...
It sounds like it was a simple typo mistake in the last biuld so shouldn't it be relatively simple to fix? ...

btw: none of workarounds really works for me.

Well, the problem is that it wasnt just in the last build. I received a beta that I beleive to be 22/23 range and it has the issue. That is how I knew about it prior to Lock On hitting the shelves.

As of this second, there is nothing Official from anyone about a patch. Matt Wagner did mention that they are looking into it for the first patch from UBI, slated for 2 to 3 weeks from now, but that is not Official.

I'm working on trying to get some kind of Official word from someone on it. I know we will not be left hanging, but it is always nice to have that reassurance.

its nice of you to look into it... I was kind of hoping that a fix would made before the first real patch, as that might, as you say, be several weeks away.
A long time to wait now that I thought the waiting was over.

Well, the UBI patch will take that long.

NaturalPoint may have an ace hidden.... but that is not official. Pure rumor and I feel ashamed spreading it.

I found maybe another fix.

I dropped my rez in game down to 800x600 and I found that i could use my TIR2 unit a lot better than at 1024x768, also seemed to be better at finding the center.

So I have now played LOMAC with TIR and while its ok IL2 FB still rules the roost, maybe its due to FPS in the game effecting the TIR unit but its definatly stutters a lot more in LOMAC, however ill awit my final verdict when a patch comes that fixe the TIR centering promblem.

I have not had any problems with the TrackIR2 not being smooth or responsive but the centering is driving me mad...

Yeah, she works great except for the fact that every time you hit center your staring at your virtual crotch! Personally, if I were flying a real F-15, I think I would find more interesting things to stare at than my crotch...

I had a hair brained idea to take the IL-2: FB .dll file for the TrackIR and rename it to the Lock On version and try it out. But, I cannot seem to find where 1C and ED put their TrackIR SDK data into the game at.

Working on it now. Hopefully I will figure it out.

G'morning to all. I've noticed too the centering problem in Lock On with TIR, and I think that is a problem in the final version (that has to be fixed), because the demo runs well with no probs in centering. As you, I've tried several things to solve the issue, but dipends directly by the game, so let's hope that it will be solved soon.

Next Temp Fix:

Leave the TrackIR running at all times during this procedure....

Press your center button and then use your mouse to pan your view to center.

Kind of like the POV method but uses the mouse. And you have to leave TIR enabled while doing this.

Hers is another option not FIX

The unit works fine in mouse mode in the game, so it will be like TIR was first in IL2, it will take some getting used too and also you will need to use the KP5 key to center you view if it loses center which it will, also it wont be as smooth as Enhanced mode but it works fine

I have been using it fine all day and when you get used to it, it beats a the slow panning HAT or keys any day for viewing in LOMAC.

I would suggest a start setting of SPEED 20, SMOOTHING 70 for a start and then adjust from there
