Hi
Any idea why my Track IR2 keeps going dead on me during gameplay?
The Blue lights on when i start indicating that i am in enhanced mode which is how i like it.
But then it will die and i am left with no movement at all. There will either be an orange or green light on the Unit.
I think it's going back to Mouse Mode?
If so can i disable this from happening?
And if not whats happening?
Thanx
Track IR2 keeps going dead
Re: Track IR2 keeps going dead
Is it possible that the hotkey if getting pressed which switches it from enhanced mode (blue-on) to mouse mode (blue-off)?
Visual indicators :
(Case)
Blue (On) = Enhanced mode
Blue (Off) = Mouse emulation mode
(Front LED)
Green = Tracking a target
Yellow = Tracking a target + Paused (by pause hotkey)
Red = Not Tracking a target + Paused
No Color = Not Tracking a target, or NaturalPoint software is closed.
So, if you are in-game and it is somehow switched out of Enhanced Mode, or Pause is somehow turned on then try using the hotkeys to re-select the correct functionality.

Hi Bunraku,
Quite possible you are hitting the hotkeys to enable/disable TrackIR2, or change the mode. If I remember right, the default hotkeys are:
F7 - Precision (not sure what that one does )
F8 - Toggle between Mouse and Enhanced modes
F9 - Toggle TrackIR2 on/off
F12 - Set TrackIR2 center point
If your game uses any of these keys, and if you're hitting them, then you are changing the way TrackIR2 works. There are a couple ways to address this.
First, open the NaturalPoint software and go to the Hotkeys tab. Check the currently assigned hotkeys, and if they are used in your game and you need them to play, do one or the other of these:
1) Click the button in the "On/Off" column next to the hotkey you want to disable to turn it off, then click the button for that same key in the "Trap Key" column to turn it off. Killing the "On/Off" button stops TrackIR2 from processing that command, and killing "Trap Key" causes the NaturalPoint software to pass the key to your game when you press it.
Note that if you turn a hotkey off, you will no longer be able to control that TrackIR2 function from the keyboard.
OR:
2) Map the function to a key that is not used in your game. Check the game's keymap and pick a few keys that are not used. Then click the "Redefine" button next to the command you want to remap, and press the new keystroke. When you're finished remapping, be sure to go to the "Profiles" tab and save it with a new name. You'll need to be sure to load that profile before you start the game.
Regards

Re: Track IR2 keeps going dead
maybe your USB port is going to sleep?
Device Manager, right click on your USB
hubs, choose properties, Power Management,
and uncheck...
"allow the computer to turn off this device
to save power"
This was happening to my Saitek X45 as well.
