TrackIR vs TrackIR2

Hey guys, I have the TrackIR but haven't used it much. Have been waiting for LoMac to come out. Now that it's out and I hear that there is a TrackIR2. Is there much of a difference in performance with the two units that would warrant buying the newer model? The money isn't much of a concern, but I dont want to throw it away either. Thanks in advance

From everything I've read, there isn't that much difference to warrant an upgrade. Sure, there is some nicey-niceys, but nothing earth shattering. I got my "regular" trackir about a month before the trackir2 was announced. Felt a little burned, but it does work well overall, so no complaints and no upgrade for me.

As far as LOMAC, trackir is broken. They are aware and claim it is fixed in the patch. Boy, the demo was really sweet with it working. So much so, I have messed with LOMAC a bit, but am waiting to get into it until the patch comes out.

I suppose the fact that TrackIR1 works fine for you is not the slightest proof that TrackIR2 doesn't even work better. As we can see you didn't compare both systems (how should you as you only own TrackIR1)?
