Some questions about track ir 2 3.03

Post by charlieace »

Greetings from Spain Ive purchased my trackir 2 a week ago (3.03). The questions are 1.Must I see difference between 0 or 120 smooth? Cursor jitters at 0 and at 120 more or less the same. What is "mushy", is it the same as jitter?
2.When I`m in lomac and do alt-tab, in the setup of trackir there is no profile autoloaded.
This thing seems not to work properly.
3.Should mouse setup in control panel be independent from trackir? Not in my case. If i put sensitivity in control panel far to left, when i run trackir , the sensitivity is very poor, too and viceversa. Is it normal?
4.The jitter is very noticeable in lomac . For example, in Su-27,when i move my head the in optical mode, it looks like the olimpic games circles. and movement too speedy
5 Where Can i download older drivers?
6 The trackhat makes any improvement. ?
Im the only user (administrator) I have very latest drivers for everything, bla ,bla...no other
light sources ...
Thanks
My system
AMD 3000,1024 MB DDR Kingston
NF-7s Mobo
ATI RADEON 9800 pro
Soundnblaster live 5.1
Windows XP Pro Sp1
X-45 joystick
USB Logitech optical mouse
trackir 2

Ahoy from America,

1. yes you should see a big difference between 0 and 120, when setting your smooting.
but your jittering is probably more so due to your speed settings.

2. (i'm not familiar with lomac, i don't know what alt-tab does. someone else will answer this).

3. Yes, your windows Mouse Control Panel should operate independantly of the trackir software.
the trackir is working just like a plastic hand mouse you would plug in.
just like any mouse hardware you plug in, the computer has its own ways to modify the input.

4. i would recommend stopping by our lomac games page and downloading the various profiles other users have submitted. here:
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/games/lockon.html
the trackir settings are key to a good experience. there is no reason trackir would function any worse/strangely than a hand mouse in any game. (but especially in our tried and tested featured games).

5. Contact support@naturalpoint.com about older drivers.

6. The trackHat does improve performance, by bringing the reflective material closer to the camera, and exaggerating your head rotations. (plus, i just perfer slapping on a cap to applying dots every time i start the trackir up).

Hope this helpful, CharlieAce.
