I'm running into a little bit of tracking trouble whilst playing IL2FB. My setup is as follows:
1)TrackIR mounted on top of my monitor.
2)Running software 3.13
3) Using a wooden ball covered with reflective tape and attached to an alligator clip...attached to bill of baseball hat.
4) Center button F12 mapped to CH USB flightstick button.
5) Logitech MX700 wireless mouse with buttons assigned for gunsight view, full out view, etc.
What I'm experiencing is this:
As soon as I cycle through views on my mouse, all tracking is lost and now my mouse controls the movement, but then I regain tracking with my reflective spot.
In other words, my mouse takes over and I cannot track with my head anymore.
What is happening and how can it be rectified?

Re: movement with mouse when tracking
What is your preferred object size set to within the TrackIR software?
Does it track any better using a single supplied dot?
When the TrackIR stops responding what color is its like on the unit?

Hi Rick,
Here's the answer to your questions:
1) 291
2) I don't have the supplied dots...kids got a hold of those and stickered their toys. As I stated in the initial post I'm using a wooden ball that is covered with 3M reflective tape.
3) Blue bottom, green LED.

Re: movement with mouse when tracking
Rick thanks for the quick response.
To answer your questions:
1) No, the tracking window keeps tracking.
2) 155 at center. 70-75 at edges.

Re: movement with mouse when tracking
Does the tracking window go all black as well? Since your preferred dot size is 291 what does the software report the current dot size as?
Re: movement with mouse when tracking
If you lower the pixel size to around 150 does that help any?
