New vector capability with Track IR2?
New vector capability with Track IR2?
Is there anyway to upgrade my track IR2 to take advantage of this new enhancement or do I need to buy a whole new IR3 unit?
Re: New vector capability with Track IR2?
I don't understand why, but it seems it's only possible with TrackIR3

Re: New vector capability with Track IR2?
Once again, as can be read in the link you posted right there above......
From Jim:
There is a technical reason that we can't make the TIR1 or 2 work with Vector. It is in both the imager and the lens, both are different from the TIR3. The whole system is designed to work together as a single piece, so we chose the TIR3 as the base platform and all the calculations are based on that imager and lens combo. The TIR1/2 would work with the same math and vector clip in addition to it not being precise enough for good tracking quality. I hope that info helps.

Yes Charlie, thanx Jim for finally providing an answer to this. Jim's answer was not in the forum when i posted the link above. That's why i still was puzzled at that time to why it "did not work".
