TIR2 not detected (as USB device only)

Post by ags »

First, my serial number is 014436.

I had reinstalled my FS, so I had to reinstall my TIR software. I plugged in the device, but heard the triple sound which announces an error. So I reinstalled TIR application and now my TIR is detected as 'USB device'. Help.

I've been fighting my way across the registry, but something in my current system [as reinstallation is not an option until end of June], tried to move reg keys from another system [it works there fine!], but still no luck. Also, tried deleting some USB-related stuff, which system can and will restore when I replug my devices, still no result.

I've also written to support, but no response. Somebody, help me! I don't have Xkeys, tried every solution mentioned in this forum [or at least I think so], but if anyone has an idea which worked for him [or her, as I don't like the politically-correct them/they version], please tell me!

It seems I've found a cure. Installed TIR software 4.x [the last non-beta], connected TIR, error happened, then run the NPregfix, and it's working now

Hi there, Polishman.

I have same problem...Hmmm... I know surely, that you have at registry at your comp line "Vid_0000&Pid_0000", at the hardware information. You probably can't delete this damn key, same as me, but I goven my TrackIR 2 to a technican, and maybe he knows how we can repair this very crappy bug. I wrote this post to enforce your mind, that it's NOT a bug, what can't be repaired. When the technican give me back my TrackIR 2, I advise you, and maybe we bring our TrackIRs to work.

It is the problem, what I hate, same as you, cause I have used my TIR only 3 days!!! and at the end, we are Polish!

Don't worry, countryman, bye.
