Hello All,
I've just invested megabucks on a new PC, hoping to finally attain a reasonable frame rate in FS 2004. Apart from the usual hiccups when configuring a new PC, I successfully completed the build a few days ago. I've tried a few games and they run extremely fast and, for the most part, without incident.
I installed FS2004 today and set up TrackIR using the latest drivers (v3.13). However, when I run the game there is what can only be described as an intermittent strobe effect on the screen, as if some of the textures are reloading. Very annoying
Here's the setup:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Mobo
2GB OZC Platinum PC3200
SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS
X1900 Crossfire Master
X1900 XTX slave
Win XP Pro (32-bit)
I've updated the sound and video drivers to the latest version, but the problem still persisits.
BTW FS2004 runs fine with TrackIR disconnected.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I'm not using Active Camera, nor anything else for that matter. This is a clean install of FS2004, with the v9.1 update applied.

Re: Graphical Glitch with TrackIR 2, FS9 & New PC
Hi Rick,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It appears that I, and many others, have fallen victim to an known issue with the BIOS on the A8R32-MVP motherboard. I've managed to get a hold of the new version (0311) and it resolves the graphical issue with FS2004, and several others to boot.
Thanks for your help.
