TrackIr & MS FS2002 Problems

Post by flyking »

I've spent several hours trying to get TrackIr to work in FS 2002 VC Mode. The mouse cursor seems to move from side to side o.k. but it will not change the view left or right or any other direction. I've read the manual and tried the various settings (I haven't remapped any keys yet). No matter what I try nothing seems to work.

Would appreciate any help I can get.

Specs: 2.66 Intel, 1 Gig Ram, Xtasy 9100 128 Mb (ATI), Soundblaster Live, XP Pro.

I'm back. I feel like I'm talking to myself but I wanted to update my post with additional information just in case somebody is listening.

After many long hours of experimenting I was able to get TrackIr to partially work as follows:
I can get it to change views only when I've set "Internal View" in Active Camera Pro 1.3.
And then it only works when I hold the "mouse wheel" down while I simultaneously move my head from side to side.

If anyone has knows of a way to get around this mouse wheel problem I would really appreciate hearing from you.

I would also like to know if anyone out there is succesfully using TrackIr and is also using a Microsoft Wireless Explorer mouse. If anyone is I'd love to know what your mouse settings are or if you had to make any adjustments to get the TrackIr program to work in MS FS2002.

Thanks In Advance.

My TrackIr Problem is solved!

I thought that by setting the radio button I was putting it in the "FS2002 enhanced mode" as required but in fact by my not also setting the function key I was actually staying in the mouse mode.

The TrackIr program works great now.

Flyking-
Glad that your problem was solved! I was just about to post a number of possibilities, but it's always best to have a self-starting user!
