I know it says it goes from 80 FPS to 120 FPS, but how does that actually translate into gaming and performance?
Won't the regular TrackIR3 work just fine for flight sim viewing?
And another question: How well does TrackIR3 work with first person shooters? Is it merely a novelty that cannot replace the mouse, or is it something that can be seriously effective?
What's the difference between regular and pro

I have an indepth review that will be online within a few days answering the speed FPS question.
As for FPS, it all depends on taste. Once game designers seperate the head movement from body movement, it sure as heck will.

Yeah, we've gotten that a lot lately.
The website is under development and will be fully active by Monday.
Sorry for any confusion.

Hello:
Yes, there is a difference in feel between a TrackIR3 and Pro. It is simply a matter of how many sample points you have, when moving quickly it is much better to have more sample points, the Pro gives you this advantage.
As for First Person Shooters, we are getting better all the time, I think it is reasonable to use now, with a Pro. The best thing to mention is that we will be making the software much better in the coming months and you can simply upgrade your existing hardware, so consider it an investment in fun. Enjoy a TIR3 now and you will get more use out of it as time goes on.

I'm a bit afraid that if I buy the TrackIR3 Pro you'll come out with a TrackIR4 that has 160 FPS or something....
I don't know though, what are the odds of a trackIR4 coming out?

I am sure the odds are pretty high that there will be a TIR4. The question is WHEN?
I expect it to be a long while off.
