Hi,
Just got Track IR 3 pro ! Only 4 days after having ordered ! Good service !
I am using the GTR game and have a problem : Track Ir seems uncapable of distinguishing left-right head movement from "turning head" movement. This is quite confusing as you need to perfectly sit still and olny turn your head in order to be able to make the view react correspondingly (and in a coherent manner). As you know, racing games often make you move your head laterally (without turning it) in road turns as a reaction on virtual G-forces... This than is interpreted as head turning which really it isn't !
Is there any way to make the software recognise these two different movements ?
I think technically it should be possible : for example, one could track two dots simultaniously, spaced horizontally by 10 cm or so. If both points move to the right than that means "lateral head movement to the right without head turning" and not "head turn". If the distance between the dots changes and one dot gets bigger and the other smaller without the center point between these points (i mean a virtual point in the middle of these two real points) moving laterally that means "head turning in the direction of the dot getting smaller".
Is this implemented or did natural point use another technique to obtain such result ? Or is there no hope of it being done ?
Please help !

gajwap,
At the moment TrackIR only works with GTR in relative mode which is less than ideal.
GTR will work in Enhanced mode when its released.
There is another option that you can use with GTR until its release and thats to use the PPJoy system that will allow the unit to be in Enhanced mode and more importantly allow you to set a dead zone.
A third axis is something that we are looking at.
