Track-IR3pro is too fast / IL-2 FB Sim

Hi Wayne !

Sorry for my long absence, but unfortunately I was very busy the last time ....

OK, what happend .... I did a complete new XP set-up including whole hard + software (Joystick, Track-IR, FB-ACE ...)

I created a new profile and changed "view limiting" and "smoothing mode" to "2" in the registry ..... but I can`t see a difference to setting "1" in work

But after some test runs the performence is playable now , but only OFFLINE !!!! .... when I`m playing FB-ACE Online, the Track-IR performance seems to be different to the Offline-Modus .... again much to fast, very nervous, loosing center point ...... could this really be !!!????!!!!!

And I only mean the Track-IR performance !! FB-Ace is running really fine and smooth without stutters with good frames about 60 - 70 FPS and also fine Online !!

I`m afraid I`m loosing my mind .... I bet You are thinking that I`m crazy ... but what can I do ?!?

One question to the "Assign Autoload Profiles" and "Select Game" :

I put it on "Il-2 Forgotten Battles" .... but it always slipps back to "Battle of Britain" !!??!!

Could this be a reason ??!!??

And using the original Trak-hat is still impossible ... I have a squared dot in use, placed backwards top on the peak of a base-cap ... "Modify Camera Threshold" is 150 and "Preferred Object Size" is 260

I don`t find it very funny, believe me ..... seems lika a nightmare, sorry

Lowpull, is there any chance you can bring your TIR over to a friend's house with FB:Aces installed and give it a quick try there?

I wonder if there's some wierd conflict going on in your machine that is causing it or if the unit itself might be defective.

Have you tried unplugging all other USB devices and seeing if it makes a difference?

Hello, I got my T IR yesterday the 3 Pro model.

My comments are based on my attempts to get it to work comfortably in IL-FB AEP.

There need to be very basic and easy to understand instructions.

I have read some and had two friends who have TR IR attempt to help me. After 2 'walk throughs' it still is not working for me at a level that is usable in the game.

I like the hardware and can understand the concept. I have seen tracks made by players of the game in which there are precise movements made with wonderful results.

The 2 friends I have are using the 3 pro model.

I would like to use the 'enhanced' mode so I can use the mouse also in the game. I would like a dead zone in which I can move with out changing the views drastically. And i would like to have smooth accurate movements outside of the dead zone.
I wear eyeglasses with 'progressive lenses' which are a type of bi/tri focal lense I have to be able to move my whole head in order to refocus on different things on the screen. Just moving my eyes does not let me see clear enough.

All I want to do is use the 3 pro instead of 'newview' and a hatswitch in IL-FB.

I am open to suggestions.

Thanks for Your patience about my Track-IR problems ! I`m really wondering, what is going on with my system or with me !!??!!

First I tried out changing the "Set Priority" as You wrote - I changed it from "Real Time" to "High" , but I couldn`t recognize any difference in performance during playing FB, sorry !

And so I did another Track-IR software set-up again, had no other idea. I uninstalled the software again and a failure report appears : "Couldn`t delete Vid_131d&Pid_0155" ..... so I had a look at the registry and deleted it as administrator � done !

Afterthat a new 3.12 software set-up followed up and I plugged in the unit and let windows searched for the software .... reboot and everything seemed to be OK !

And now I changed "Smoothing Mode" and "View Limiting" up to "2" and afterthat I `ve deleted every existing Track-IR profile in the Natural Point folder. I created a complete new custom profile and saved it under my name and the game IL-2 / FB.

And what should I say .... now I suddenly recognize changes in the profile also in the game first time !! I can`t believe it !!!!!

Dead zone is OK , and the view is no longer nervous !!! OK, perhaps still a little bit fast, but that could be still caused in the profile, I have to check out this a little bit longer .....

Yesterday I did 2 online-tests in the Hyperlobby on a Full Real server and dogfight was much better now than before .....

Once again shortly back to the 2 points in the registry :

1. "view limiting" - everything is clear with this set-up and it works well in FB-Ace, if I set it up to "2" I`m able to watch six better than before, no problem !

2. "smoothing mode" - although I set it up to "2", I can`t see any difference in the motion speed in the game !

Is it possible to send a FB-Ace .trk file to You and You have a look on it to see if it`s the way, Track-Ir 3pro should work ?!?

For me it`s unbelievable .....

Sorry .... I was a long time offline

But I want You to know, what happened the last time here .... and it`s a little bit curious

It did a complete new windows set-up again, but additional with the new XP service pack 2, afterthat I installed all needed programms, including FB and Track IR again ....

And from now on my TrackIR 3pro is working without any problems ... I can`t believe it

I`m very happy now and I�m looking forward for the coming Pazifik Add On
