I seem to have a similiar problem as reported by Falcon.
Just got a TrackIR3 Pro, setting up was a snap and really sweet control of in-air views.
The problem occurs when using joystick/throttle (Saitek X45...about a week old) the view suddenly jumps. Be looking straight ahead, bank left or right and view will jump (usually in the 9-11 or 1-3 o'clock range).
Dell 1.7ghz 1.3 RAMBus Mem
Nvidia Ti4600 vid card
USB mouse/keyboard (x45 is USB also...expect this could be the issue)
TrackIR v3.12 playing Aces High
Any ideas??

Re: View jumping problem
Crashy,
I have not heard of the X45 causing this issue.
Are you by any chance connecting your USB devices through a hub?
Connect your TrackIR directly into your mainboard on its own port.
Another thing that you can check is that in Aces High have you set any views with your joystick?
When this happens are you in normal viewing mode or does this happen during snap views?

Re: View jumping problem
LOL...I figured it out. When flying I'd put on glasses (icons a bit hard to read) there was a reflection from a light source that was apparently being picked up.
Figured it out after putting hat on a shelf behind me to eliminate me moving being the cause.
A question tho...
Does it matter if the trackir is not level with the reflective dot? I have to angle it quite a bit.

Re: View jumping problem
The X45 is used here all the time without any problems at all, so I don't know where that rumour came from..

Re: View jumping problem
I just purchased the Saitek ST290 and started having the jumping problem. It does not happen immediately put starts up after a little while. I never have any problems when using my yoke and pedals.
EDIT: Oh, I just reread and noticed you were talking about jumping to certain views. Mine is actually a jitter of the screen in FS2004. Using TrackIR3 and 04.020 software with vector expansion.

Re: View jumping problem
Thanks Nares. That is probably it. I originally had it unchecked but just looked and it was on. I'll report back after I have a chance to test it.
Re: View jumping problem
If you are using version 4 software ensure that you did not redirect the FS2002 trackir.dll to the Fs2004 module as this will cause the problem that you have described.
FS2004 does not require the dll if using the version 4 software so it can be safely removed from the modules folder.

Re: View jumping problem
Thanks Wayne. No I don't have the trackir.dll in my modules folder. During the install routime I selected not to install the FS2002 drivers.
The roll seems to have worked so far. I still had a little jittering but very seldom and not for any extended period of time.
Funny thing is that I never had this problem when using my yoke. It did not start until I bought the joystick and flew a few helicopters. Odd one.
Thanks again guys.
