Max Distance

I've upgraded from a TIR 1 to a 3 Pro and I'm having similar issues (speed, erratic motion and the "glasses problem". I use a track hat and I've got the TIR app. arms length from the brim on the hat and elevated to try to avoid the reflection from my glasses.
Questions:
1) Is there a maximum distance from the unit to the reflective area of the track hat that if exceeded creates a problem?
2) Is there a difference in the software V3.12 vs V3.11 (beyond the additional game support added in 3.12)?

V3.12 from V3.11 is only a game update.
If you can drop me a quick e-mail with the games that you play so that i can send you the profiles that i use and we can go from there.
