Im not sure how informative my post is..

But can you really center the view with F12 ? I dimly remember having to 'manually' reset the view (by pressing the 'POV-up' button on my joystick), I dont think that pressing the f12 key changed anything (like moving the view back center, which it does when in enhanced mode..)

However, it has been a while, so most certainly Im wrong..

Centre hotkey not working in sim

Post by Cas141 »

I have returned to Il-2 having removed FB from the hard drive.
I run version 2.01 in a Win98SE system.
TrackIR has run well in FB and runs OK in BOB.
It ran well in IL-2 , but now there is a problem in IL-2
Before I enter the sim all the three hot keys work all right under the motion Tab.
But when I am flying the sim the enable key works OK but the centre key doesn't.
I cannot centre the view.
Go back into motion tab and it all works.
Of course, now I am on the IL orig profile and not the FB one and so I am pretty certain I am not running in enhanced mode. (Can't , can I ?)
But the center key should still work.
It used to do so.
Any ideas please?

The Original Il-2 is not a trackIR Enhanced title, so the re-center function will not work.

Sorry for late reply - been on hols.
I accept what you say, as you're the man!, but I could "re-centre" on the original IL-2 - before the latest drivers and before enhanced mode was available.
However, on reading these two replies, the old memory is begining to tell me i did it by selecting a view within the game , ie "cockpit view" ( F1 I Think ).
I'll try some things and let you know.
Thanks
