I was wondering why the current beta wants to contact naturalpoint.com via port 80.
I've unchecked the 'periodic news check' and still the application wants to connect to the web, which in my opinion is also what causes the long startup times....since i'm not allowing it to connect. I would appreciate it if this 'phone home' would really only happen if i so desire...which i don't.
Sorry, but i've bought this thing for 120 euros and i'm really getting fed up at times with all the apps who want to connect to the web....apps which really don't need to connect at all.

Thanks for your feedback. I will forward your concerns to our programming team.
The idea was to have the software check to make sure it was up to date and had a current TrackIR Enhanced games list. We used to have to compile and distribute a new EXE with every title, that was a pain, so this should be better for all customers. I agree, if you turn it off, it should be off.
