TIR3 Pro + Vector: Works beautifully most of the time (in F4AF) but sometimes it becomes very sluggish after extended use. This is not connected with any performance issues in the game. It last occurred last night when there was minimal interference from other light sources. Can anyone comment?

Sometimes TIR slows to a crawl...
Re: Sometimes TIR slows to a crawl...
If it is in a dark room you might actually want to try lowering the "Light Filtering" setting as the default setting of 130 might be too high.
In the TrackIr software:
1. Click "View", then "Tracking".
2. Click "Settings".
3. Check the box for "Light Filtering" and lower it some.
4. Try within the game and see if that helps any.
Also make sure nothing else is in view of the TrackIR that may cause a reflection off the light from the monitor.

Re: Sometimes TIR slows to a crawl...
Thank you for the swift response. Rick. I will experiment with the Light Filtering settings. Two follow-up questions if you don't mind:
1. Is it OK to make these "on the fly" changes by alt-tabbing out of a game and into the TIR GUI or is it always better to avoid this?
2. What is the best view mode to detect possible light interference? I've noticed that even the smallest extraneous red dot in the Vector tacking screen can represent a significant degradation in-game.
Thanks again.
