No device detected

Post by ft »

I just received my TrackIR 3 Pro. I've tried it on three different computers now, with the 4.1.027 software and the bundled 4.0.024 software.

None of the computers reacted to me connecting an USB device. The unit does get warm, but that is all it does.

It would seem I received a broken unit. Any other suggestions?

Sounds like it could be a DOA. I need you to email me the following:

Serial Number
Order number if available

You've got mail. In fact, you probably had mail before I read your reply. How's that for lightning reactions?

Looks like the planned sim meet this weekend will be TIR-less.

I figured I'd close this thread. Yes, it was a faulty unit. Top-notch support from Naturalpoint (thx Rick) and the local distributor, Racemore.se, and I had a new unit back within a week. Install and plug in, and worked like a charm from the get-go... well, at least after I figured out that I needed to have the TIR software running prior to firing up my application. I couldn't see that mentioned in the documentation?

Flying on my computer just took a huge stride towards what it feels like when I'm up there for real. I lost one weekend, but that is OK with me. If there happen to be any surplus PR goodies though...

Cheers,

It is mentioned in the manual but its ok we'll let you slide this once.
