Laggy performance, a recent problem
Re: Laggy performance, a recent problem
cheers on the quick response mate
Re: Laggy performance, a recent problem
I starting to have the same problem with the "lag" in LOMAC Flaming Cliffs.
Re: Laggy performance, a recent problem
Hey guys I might have a temporary band aid for the problem I mentioned above.
Last night whilst flying I started to loose frames and soon was down to less than 50% normal I didn't want to restart the game so I just turn TracIr off with F9 and immeadiately frames responded by climbing to normal speed When I turned it back on again they dropped so I turned it off for about 1 min and found when I restarted it the problem whilst still affecting frame rate was much reduced.
I will keep experimenting till the new patch that is supposed to fix this.

Re: Laggy performance, a recent problem
Issue with LOMAC could be a performance issue possibly? I've never heard of anyone having this Lag issue with that title.
What type of computer are you using and what are your in game settings?

Re: Laggy performance, a recent problem
Dont wait too long for a responce from Rick, as I am pretty sure he left the company a while ago.I posted about the same fault in the IL2 forums and it also has not been sorted.Someone else did at least inform me of Ricks departure but never followed up the post.

What is the Serial # of the device?
It should be located on the end of the cable, near the USB plug, or on the underside of the device.
Could you send us a copy of the Setupapi.log file?
It should be located in the C:\Windows folder
Could you attach a screen shot of your device manager, and tracking screen?
To make Print Screen work, you must save an image of what's displayed on-screen to the clipboard and then paste it into a document where it can be printed.
Windows Help: Print Screen
To do this, follow this procedure:
1. Maximize the window you'd like to capture.
2. To copy/capture the current window, hold down ALT + Print Scrn at the same time. To capture the entire screen, just press Print Scrn alone.
3. Open a new document in MS Paint, MS Word, MS Photo Editor, or Adobe PhotoShop.
4. Paste the screen shot by holding down CTRL and V at the same time.
5. Save the document as a .JPG or .JPEG file and send it in.
Please send the above information to support@naturalpoint.com

Re: Laggy performance, a recent problem
This link is dead also. There is a known issue with IL-2 that they (Oleg/IL-2) should be fixing in an upcoming patch. Please see this thread

Yes, some links within the forum threads gotten broken, when we changed forum client sofftware several months ago....
As for the lag issue you are having......
1 - Which version of the TrackIR software are you running?
2 - Does this occur with other versions of the TrackIR software?
3 - In the following location, the profiles are stored for the software, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\Profiles. What is the file size of the individual profile files?
4 - Have you done a clean install of the TrackIR software?
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location, http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... .Final.exe
