Great way to keep hat clip in place

Hi everyone. I found a great way to keep the pro 3 vector hat clip in place, and act like the new 4pro vector clip with the straighter profile.

Lay the clip on the bill of a hat without bending it and hooking the tabs in place. Then take a small binder clip, the paper clip thingy you know, and pinch it in place at the front of the bill and fold the two levers back.

This is very secure and because the binder clip is normally black or painted black, it doesn't reflect back. Plus this way the front two reflectors stay straight with each other like the new pro4 clip.

Any photos would be great....being the idiot that I am I cant quite picture what you are describing.

Also, how much bend can you get away with using the clip on a ball cap? (some of us like to have a curve in the peak of our caps and I was wondering how much is allowable before it affects the performance of the tracking.)

I'm assuming not much since this thread is addressing the issue of trying to kkep the clip as straight as possible....lol

just saw the differnce between the 3pro clip and the 4 clip (much straighter profile.) My question above still stands though...how much curve, if any, is allowable before it would interfere with the tracking ability. The Natural Point vector ball cap has quite a curve in it and you must bend the clip a bit to get it on anyway. Just curious before I place this clip on one of my own ball caps.

You can probably get away with about 5 to 10 degrees of deflection, but you need to keep it as straight as possible. The tracking algorithims depend on the known distances, and relationship, between the 3 reflectors.
