1. What is the difference ( hardware and/or software ) between ' Track IR ' and ' Track IR GX ' ?
2. Are older software versions available ? I'm interested in getting one of the older versions which, if I understand correctly, had a key mapping function built in. I have no idea, though, what version number it would be.
3. Can TrackIR be used to control views in games that use the hat switch for view panning ? I'm new to TrackIR, so don't know if anyone is doing that or not. I've done a lot of searches, but can't really tell if this is something that can actually be done today, or if it's just stuff that was ' talked about ' at one time.
Thanks,
Brigs
Just a few questions
Re: Just a few questions
I use track IR in IL2 FB (flight Sim). It replaces your hat switch.... so where you had a hat switch which you would config to give you 8 or so views.... track IR gives you a fluid mouse like panning.
you stick a dot onto a cap or headband and a little unit that sits ontop of your screen does the rest.
takes a little time testing to get it just how you like it though.... speed, amount of head turn, distance from sensor and sensitivity... etc
ohh and the adjustment "ingame" in using your head. But frees up your joystick and allows you to "follow" your foe in a more "lifelike" feel
and I'm still getting use to it...
