The Victor Backlash
Re: The Victor Backlash
Charlie,
The remark about me, gives me no choise, but to reply in this thread.
I am no whiner! A whinner feels helpless most of the time and becomes overwhelmed by the unfairness of it all.
Because you wanted it to be personnal, I would classify you as a SNIPPER!
A snipper - his forte is sarcausm, makes rude remarks, rolls his eyes and tries to make victims look and feel foolish.
When I mispelled VECTOR, I went to the edit button and changed the spelling, Thank you for pointing that out to me. I hope that you go to your post and remove the whinner remark.

Re: The Victor Backlash
Oh, Hi.
When other people act reasonably and professionaly, I do the same. When people come in here and demand.. "I want this, I want that"... then I tell them how I feel without sugar coating my words... especially when you insult my own personal work, which is not outdated or incorrect, in an attempt to make a point a against NP not having a manual.
Using incorrect information and stabbing at me to try and make your demand seem to have a stronger basis makes you a whiner.
Now maybe if you adjust your attitude a little bit and realize that this is a beta, meaning that you try it at your own risk (hence the term beta), and that since it is a beta there is no official manual... and also realize that I do not get paid to spend hours typing up a tutorial to help people out and sit here giving everyone fast help to fix their problems.... maybe then I will treat you a bit more professionaly.
But you took off the gloves and then get mad when I do the same? Thats funny.
Now, that being said, how about posting a bit more about your problem as I really do not understand what the problem is other than not having an official manual, and I will see what I can do.

Charlie,
Are you speaking as an official from Natural Point, or as an official reply from www.virtualflightproductions.com, or are you just posting an opion as Charlie? It is hard to sort you out. You seem to wear many hats.

I am a co-owner of VFP. So you could say that my words are those of VFP.
I am not an employee of NaturalPoint, therefore I do not speak for them. I help them out with tech support and answering questions out of the goodness of my heart.
One hat, one face, thats it.

Shades of the movie Airplane:
Got the Vector, Victor?
Roger, Roger.
I finally got the Vector software to wig out, fail to track, and give me nice flashing bands through the tracking screen (green and yellow and even red!).
Here's how:
Enable/Disable the unit via the keyboard while opening, closing, and then reopening IL-2/FB/AEP/PF repeatedly (don't ask, but that's what I was doing). It also helps to run about three other proggies at the same time, including FRAPS, VirtualDub, and Windows Movie Maker to ensure both processor and RAM useage is at max.
Shut down the software, unplugged unit, plugged it back in, fired up software.
Fixed.
Now what was the fun in that - you guys take all the joy out of troubleshooting.

Dangit Dart....
You always one up me! I was only running two programs and only opened / closed PF a couple times instead of repeatedly.
You devil you....

Uhhh, why do people feel the need to complain. I loved the new beta driver - used them all weekend.
Sometimes I wonder how any innovators can keep their spirits up with such negativity on the Internet.

Groupies. It's gotta be the groupies.
Software guys do have groupies, right?
I mean, if they don't, well, I don't really see the point of getting involved with the business at all.
