I had also problems with checking six in PF. I have 4.0.20 software.
In the game usually I could see well over one shoulder, but not the other.

My fix was to set smoothing to 25 and cover both reflectors of the TrackIR hat - also the one behind the cap. Now it works well.

Oh please send me a photo of you in action in front of the monitor. I really wanna see how the reflector at the back affects 6DOF.

I have smoothing at 25.

strange thing is, and maybe I need help w/setup, is that I get 100% better overall tracking with normal Trackir3 pro than with vector.

anyone else notice or experience this?

As far as dots - no, I don't cover it up.

I was told that this was specifically designed to be used with the Trackir hat - why would covering something up on the hat be beneficial?

I was unable to turn my head past 10 and 2 oclock with that profile.

by the way, if I turn off vector and use dot with same settings - works great.

Try covering up the reflector on the trackhat. While it is meant to be used with the hat, it will help unwanted interference when you are looking around the enges of the cameras FOV.

I know it sounds funny, but both of those things I mentioned really did improve my yaw tracking. I tried them separately: smoothing first, then the back reflector. Both things are easy to try if nothing seems to work.

I got Vector yesterday, so I have just started making profiles for different programs. But so far I've had a lot more troubles than when using 3.12 drivers and just a dot and no hat.

Maybe I just need to get used to how this new tracking works. My first day experience is that it was easier to use lean+turn to change yaw than just turn. Now leaning shouldn't matter in PF, but I have to turn my head much more. The first couple of minutes of dog fighting using Vector I felt like watching tennis
