NEWBIE TO VECTOR - Setup Help

Post by rjsagel »

Hello,

I have a new TIR3 with Vector. I have used the TIR2 for some time. I only use it now for FS2004.

The 6DOF seems twitchy to me - overly sensative to motion - especially whatever seems to make it look "behind' me at the slightest movement. Could you please recommend a setup for someone who wants to have VERY SLOW and SMOOTH "head" motion in the 6DOF mode. I am using the DOT mode right now to fly my sim.

Thanks in advance,

Although I received no response yet, I did make a GREAT discovery - the position of the sensor head does matter!!

I had it inverted above my display - now it is on top of the display and LO AND BEHOLD - great results.

I still need some help with "slowing down" the slew rate of my scanning - I'm not sure I understand what each type of profile adjustment really does - like acceleration.

Tutorial on the whole thing is at www.virtualflightproductions.com and explains what the curve editor does.

That should cure your problems.

Ron Sagel,

Drop me a quick e-mail at the office and I will be happy to pass on to you the profile that I have been using with Vector.
