G'day all,
First time poster and new user of TrackIR and loving it so far. I have a problem activating the vector expansion though. I have installed software version 4.0 Build 22, went to the activation page, filled in the required details, got the email with the attached license.dat and license.sig files, detached to C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\License directory yet still getting the Grey Screen with the "License file not valid" message. Shut down & re-started TrackIR as per the manual.
Have tried to re-do all over but get a message that this combination is already registered.
I had the 2 files resent to a different email address but alas, still no go.
I have emailed NaturalPoint's helpdesk but haven't received a reply to date (Only sent about 12 hours ago).
Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.
Cheers
Gunna
Problem Activating Vector Expansion
Re: Problem Activating Vector Expansion
Gunna, first welcome to the forum and to TIR.
This might sound Dumb but have you tried running the driver/software with out the 2 files being in the License dir, because if I rember correctly the need for them being present was removed (it is worth a try.)
On a different note if you do get up and running try this out if you have not already. I have found with the Vector (6DOF) running Iget the best performance out of the TIR if the distance between the Sensor and reflector(s) is about 30-36" and the sensor about 2" above the top reflector on the Vector. This should help to sort out any fliping or locking troubles as the reflectors stay with in the Sensor's range if the dots are in the middle of the tracking screen at your normal rest position.
Good Luck and enjoy your TIR

Re: Problem Activating Vector Expansion
G'day Barred and thanks for the welcome.
Have tried not having the 2 files in the License directory but then when I start TrackIR it tells me vector not activated and has the button enabled to go the enabing site, which then promptly tells me the product is registered. Un-install and re-install didn't fix the problem either nor did using version 4.0.21 - same message there as well. Got me buggered.
Cheers

Re: Problem Activating Vector Expansion
Update on my problem activating - there was a discrepancy between the serial number in the Naturalpoint database and what was on my TrackIR. Prolly yours truly being dyslexic again when typing in the numbers.
Thanks Wayne/Kevin for your prompt help.
Now I'm going to play with the zoom script and see if I can get it goin.
Cheers all
