Not working at startup!

Post by em00se »

Sorry if this is asked before .. I checked but I could not find.

Installed unit last week - all working 100% for hours.

Next day, boot PC, software starts, but no movement in heads/gauges etc.

Unplug USB etc etc, eventually after clicking Activate under Help it works....for hours.

Same thing at each reboot, not tracking but lights come on (red)

If I immediately reboot after a cold start it sometimes works.

Latest drivers/software too.

TIR3 + VE using standard profiles supplied with software.

Check .xml file in Profiles, all under 5k too.

Any ideas?

thanks.

Hi btw I'm new here!

Happen to have it plugged into a USB hub instead of actual USB port into computer?

If it is still a red light does hitting F9 un-pause the TrackIR?

Just booted from cold, sme problem. F9 toggles the status from No Data to Disabled. No tracking on Heads/Gauges etc.

After reboot heads/gauges etc all ok.

Weird.

This might help if you have not done it before.

Unplug your TIR.
Make a back up of anf profiles you want to keep.
Uninstall the software with Add/Remove programs.
Reboot (this bit is important)
Install the software but into a different Folder
Plug in your TIR.

That soved a simular problem that I had with my TIR1.

Good Luck

Just wanted to write I have the exact same problem. I did have a crash to desktop in FS2004 right before this behavior started. the tracking screen is actually reversed, i.e. the tracking hat shows black and the screen is green.
