Hello,
I've been around for some time reading a lot of topics on the problems that track ir poses...since I have my headaches with hours of trying to get thins work. Trackir is a topproduct..when it worked/works. That's for sure...I'm still very impressed, but now it turns into frustration after literally hours of trying to find out why the device freezes again and again and nothing i read...and i mean every tip I tried till now (reinstalling, uplugging, registry fix, regedit, power management of usb, disabling some startup programs that might interfere, delete config and input files from lomac, getting rid of the no-cd crack etc.;etc...)
I have to stress the fact that the device has worked some time, not perfectly, sometimes freezing...but you could fix it with uplugging, plugging it back in or a more drastic (for your missions not so nice) restart of the program.
I have here the specs of my computer for you, hope you find something to help us/me out:

Have you turned off the USB power saving feature in the device manager?
Also be sure that where you place your TrackIR on the monitor that it is not exposed to extra heat.

Got a new trackir device today (UPS has to refund you guys, they messed up the delivery, don't want to get into details...but they sure have to refund your express delivery...).
BUT...thank you! It was fast anyhow...and the device works! I will test it in next weeks, and keep you informed. I have mounted the device on a extra shelf i installed little above the monitor to exclude any extra heat it could have...(I even considered to use an external fan...but that can not be the purpose of it all..I live in belgium..mostly not that warm, even not in summer).
But: my vector expansion doesn't work yet...I sent an e-mail to Natural Point support with my data with the question how to fix that. Get the message that another 'me' used the activation code already on my e-mailadress.
Forgot to mention the serialnumber of my new device..will sent and mention that directly...if you need more, please put me to work...i'm a happy customer..hope I don't get in too much trouble anymore..
