It's been a while since I've been on this forum and I've forgotton the brilliant workaround posted by somebody to solve the phantom tracking screen effect caused by hyperthreading.
Could somebody remind me, or, better still, let me know if I have missed an official patch for this issue?
Many thanks.
Phantom tracking screen fix
Re: Phantom tracking screen fix
Bahger: I beleive it is the 'affinity'.
Load the TIR software, but leave it at main page.
Press 'ctrl-alt-del' to open the Task Manager.
Find 'Naturalpoint.exe' under the Processes tab. Right click on it.
From the resulting menu, click on 'Set Affinity'.
In the box that opens, UNcheck 'CPU 1', leaving only 'CPU 0' checked.
CLose the box and the Task Manager. Ghost tracking screen should be gone.
