Just some advice Please

Post by rubberball »

Hello room.

As you can see this is my first post and i am a newbie so please be patient with me if possible.

This is without a doubt the BEST EVER add-on i have purchased for my Fs Hobby.

I have a qouple of questions if i may ask that one of you guys out there may be able to help with....Here goes!

1. Is it possible to somehow lock the view when i have looked down in FS2004 at the guages/radio etc so that i can adjust the dials/knobs...? what happens now is that i move my head closer to them but have to stay really still in order to adjust them?

2. I am sure this is something to do with the mouse emulation or something but when i use my the scroll wheel on my logitech cordless mouse the view point zooms in or out like it always does in the Virtual cockpit in FS2004 .
But i wanted to know if i can use it like when you use it in the 2d view when it actually rotates the dials/knobs..??...is this possible?

Kind Regards Paul Teasdale UK

Once again what a great product and i have also just ordered the force feedback headphones and Voice buddy 3.0.

Hello Rick

Thanxs for the swift reply...I dont think you need to have the same mouse as me but any wheel mouse which if i am right is nearly all they sell now..?
Anyone who uses FS2004 Will know what i mean when i say the wheel mouse zooms in/out when turned..just wanted to know if it is possibly to stop this operation whilst using Trackir..and make it so i can turn the dials...?

Regards Paul

The only time my optical wheel mouse was able to zoom in and out in the virtual cockpit was when I was using a free addon for Flight Sim from Flight1.com

It was called F1View Utility and it made do until I got my TrackIR 4 Pro.

Hello and welcome!

1. You can try hitting F9 to pause the TrackIR so you can view the gauges and click the switches if need be.

2. I'm actually not sure as I don't have a logitech scroll mouse to attempt it with. Anyone else have this setup he mentions?
