GETTING IT TO WORK

Post by riley »

I just bought the trackir pro4. I play WWII online. Followed direction for loading game into tracker w/o problem. In the tracker window it showed that wwii was loaded into tracker. Followed steps for mouse axis X&Y w/o problem in keymapper. When I jumped into game the tracker didn't work. The green led was lit. What's the problem?

If the TrackIR's blue LED doesn't come on when the game starts then it probably won't work in the game. if the main page/tab of the software is showing the game as active, then that's confirmation it's recognized.

I'm looking into this right now because you're the second person to mention an issue with the game in the past week. I'll post here again when i've had a chance to confirm it's working from our end. (hopefully tomorrow).

If anyone else here is currently using TrackIR in WWIIOnline, please feel free to chime in.

Until then, sir, thank you for your patience!

Since you've used the keymapper, i do assume you've read our tips and tricks for the game
( here ), but i have to mention them just in case. (there's that mystery of having to press "n" in game before trackir will activate in different modes)

I also have to ask : does the trackir software seem to be working fine? (ie, the tracking and heads windows show perfect precise movement?)

and finally, is trackir working in any other enhanced games?

sorry for these boring questions, but i need to cover these bases before getting really technical.

Seems to work fine in all other modes, i.e heads, and tracking etc. I don't play any other game except wwii. I haven't tried the "N" thing, but I haven't even tried using it for troops, just flight. Unfortunatly I won't be in game until thursday I'll have to try it then. I can give you my home e-mail and then I'll forward my ph# and we can do a verbal walk through if you want. My home e-mail is as follows ( kmcmillen@charter.net ). I live on the Oregon coast so it won't be long distance.
