[SOLVED] Big disappointment :Really need HELP

Post by Vike »

Hello to you all,

I've just bought and received a TiR 4 Pro for my system, and i have big stutter/lags when using it:

-Only the TiR4 lags. The PC or the graphic card still runs well when it happens-

The TiR4 simply stops detecting my trackClip in GAME as in the calibrating TOOLS in the TiR software. This lasts hardly one or two seconds, then it works again.

But in a game like IL2/AEP/PF,one or two seconds is almost like "a life" duration.

It's AWFULLY frustrating,as while in action,my "head in the game" stop moving.

Then,as a real dumb,i move my head in every directions until there is a reaction, and when it works again (one or two sec later),obviously, the field of view is upside down.

The green light on the top of the TiR is on.
During the freezes,it is still on.
When the freeze stops, the green light is like over-illumlinated then becomes normal.

It is like it was an power supply problem.

I did many TESTS with this stuttering TiR4 about:

-Lights/possibly reflection in the PC room.
-During day/night.
-Many positions of the Tir on my monitor.

Here is my rig spec:

AMD Athlon XP 2400Mhz
1024MB DDR
Radeon 9800XT
Windows XP SP 2 UPDATED
PCI-USB2.0 card with a NEC chip driver UPDATED,Tir4 plugged on it.

Will i have to send it back?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was my CPU overclocking which caused all of the lags.

I reduced my CPU frequency a bit, then the TiR works VERY perfectly.

OUFffffffffffffffffffffffffff,now i can breathe again!

Well done Vike, as they say speed isn't everything I used to o/c until my PC fried, but now go for a gentle O/C and have a smoother system
