home theater set up

Post by Raven »

Hi I was trying to figure out how to set up the track ir for a home theater using a projector. I have a 93 inch screen and need to sit 14'
feet away from it. I have my computer hooked up to the projector and everything looks really nice.
I play a flight sim called
(ILSturmovic 2 FB)
As for the track ir It needs to be 2' feet away from vector clips. as I'm 14' away from screen its not happening and if I put it on the ceiling its still more than 2', plus the projector will shine on it and the light screws it up aswell as a shadow on the screen. any input on how to get around this?? can I put it behind my seat and wear my hat backwards??

Yes, you can place the unit behind you and use it that way, just remember to invert the axis in the game profile so it will continue to function normally.

Some customers have also used Active IR leds to increase range if the tracking software.

Active markers work best when using LEDs that produce output in the 850nm wavelength.
