Hi All,
I have posted before regarding stuttering or juddering movement with TIR. I have the latest software 3.12 all works fine but when I move my head slowly I get a juddering movement like a slow frame rate if I move quickly it seems to be fine nice and smooth.
I have tried to go back to the old software 2.12 but this will not work at all, I think its a register problem with 3.12. Anyway I have gone back to 3.12 and have come here for more info evreryone else seems to have no problems with 3.12 on TIR v1.
Have I got it set up to fast or not fast enough I have tweaked around with different setting but still no good.
can someone help me out here?

Stuttering Track IR
Re: Stuttering Track IR
There are some limits to the TIR1 as far as framerate goes. If you are getting less than ideal framerates from your game than it will magnify the "stuttering effect" from the TIR1.
This effect is much more noticeable in games without Absolute "Enhanced" mode. I recall the original IL2 was very inaccurate yet when FB came out with Absolute mode support it was like night and day.
You can increase your perceived framerate by maximizing the "throw" of the dot in the motion screen to travel as much of the black space as possible side-to-side. If your range of movement only takes up part of the screen you may not be getting all you can out of the TIR. By increasing this "throw" you can compensate by lowering the speeds in your profile which means that the software won't have to extrapolate (or guess) the points in between because it will have more data to judge it's motion and hence give you more accuracy.
You can also increase the smoothness setting which fills in the data samples gathered from the receiver as you move which again guesses where you moved between two points that it "sees" you move. The only drawback is the more smoothness you add, the more input lag you get so it's a bit of a trade off. Even when I had the TIR1 I ran it around 60 - 80 at the most but you should play around with it to find your own comfort zone.
You would find a big difference between the TIR1 and the TIR3pro.

Hellcat,
Charvel was spot on with everything that he asked you to check. What games are you running maybe we can get you setup with a profile that would work better for you.
I can always setup a TR1 on my home system and then help you with a profile and setup and confirm that everything is okay.
Like Charvel said you would be much better with a TR3, I am not too sure if you know but we are running a trade in program at the moment.

Hellcat,
The upgrade program that we are running is to allow users who have bought TrackIR to upgrade to the latest technology.
If you can send me your e-mail I can send you the e-mail with the links and info that you need.
TrackIR3 became available because of a hardware change, which was something that could not be avoided.
