problems with TIR Pro 4
problems with TIR Pro 4
Hi !
i've just received my TIR 4 and i was very happy.
Following the instructions i installed it.
Then testing with profiles and tracking window. All seems to be OK 3 lights on a black window. testing with the heads window. Everything moves aswell.
Last test in situation : FS2004
And that's the problem. The image is not stable and blinking. tried to switch of the lights, changing usb port, and so on...but still the problem.
How can i solve the problem ?
my SN is 049772.
Last question : i can i activate ? the window ask for vector serial and vector hash but i can't find any of these in the box nore on the usb cable...and the activation goes wrong without those. Thanks for your help

Re: problems with TIR Pro 4
Best Performance possible.--- We strongly recommend that you set your target frame rate to a minimum of 30 frames per second.
------
How to fix the conflict between TrackIR and Active camera 2004 --- First of all TrackIR generates its own head latency, which is natural. If Active Camera 2004 is installed its head latency is counteracting with TrackIRs natural head movement (one program is fighting the other).
If you use TrackIR along with Active Camera 2004 then simply disable the Active Camera 2004 head latency option - which then makes an interesting use of the view presets, which is a nice complement to TrackIR.
In Spot plane view Active Camera 2004 and TrackIR are working perfectly together. The same can be said for external pilot view (easy to pan with TrackIR and walk with the number pad keys).
-----
The unit has the 6DOF features enable in the hardware, and doesn't require being enabled in the software. There is an issue in the 4.1.028 software that still allows you to try an update the TrackIR4 with vector support. If you see the vector expansion icon highlighted blue in the software, then the spplication sees the built in hardware vector expansion and is functioning properly.

Re: problems with TIR Pro 4
Distance should be 2 to 4 feet.
Send the following info to Support@naturalpoint.com
Could you send us a copy of the Setupapi.log file?
It should be located in the C:\Windows folder
Could you attach a screen shot of your device manager, and tracking screen?
To make Print Screen work, you must save an image of what's displayed on-screen to the clipboard and then paste it into a document where it can be printed.
Windows Help: Print Screen
To do this, follow this procedure:
1. Maximize the window you'd like to capture.
2. To copy/capture the current window, hold down ALT + Print Scrn at the same time. To capture the entire screen, just press Print Scrn alone.
3. Open a new document in MS Paint, MS Word, MS Photo Editor, or Adobe PhotoShop.
4. Paste the screen shot by holding down CTRL and V at the same time.
5. Save the document as a .JPG or .JPEG file and send it in.

Re: problems with TIR Pro 4
Fred,
Try this. Go to Display Properties/Settings/Advanced, click on the tab for your video card. Look for an option, "Force Vsync On" and check it. Willing to bet that will fix your problem, FS9 does NOT like to have vysnc off!

Gerabus had this same problem a few days ago, turning on the vsync fixed it right up for him! After you guys were telling him to clean-install FS9, buy a USB 2.0 card and so on
Vincent, if I were you I'd add that about vsync to your FS9 Tips & Tricks page. FS9 just can't handle the rapid head movement in the VC and at the same time output a clean frame if vsync is off. Ripping and tearing all over the place. At least that's my experience.
Fred, let me know if that works for you!
Re: problems with TIR Pro 4 (SOLVED)
I solved the problem !!!
I found what was the problem. It was due to an add on from MCDU.com (the group who develop FS-inn to play FS2004 on line). This software include a menu which is called "head effect" and an option which was activated "enable tilt". I deactivated this and all is OK now.
Thank you for your help
