Refresh direct input

Post by soldano »

I programmed a button in my CH yoke as the pause function,(so it allows me to mouse click the VC functions without problem) but the only way it works is by pressing "refresh direct input" in the profiles editing box each time I open TIR4.- Is there any way to set it as default ?.

So when you edit your flight profile, and save the changes. If you restart the TrackIR software and look at the profile the changes aren't saved?

The changes are saved OK, the problem is with the joystick button I programmed as pause, which doesnt work until the "refresh direct input" key is pressed, and this happens each time I load the TIR4 program.-

Soldano, this is gonna be the stupidest reply I've ever made

But is your joystick hooked up BEFORE you start TIR4 software?

Reason I ask is because half the time my poor tired brain starts the software 1st, then later connects the joystick! And if you do that, TIR won't recognise your buttons unless you shut down the software then restart. Or possibly do the "Refresh Direct Input" - I haven't tried that but I think that's what it's there for...

Just a thought...

My CH yoke is always hooked and activated, there is no need of activating it every time.-

Is your joystick software running in the background?

Are you starting it up, and shutting it down as well?

One thing it could be is that it is setting itself as priority software for the button function until the trackIR software is refreshed.
