Can't get TrackIR Pro 3 to work with FSX

Post by horrgakx »

Problem is that the blue light doesn't come on when running FSX.

I've updated the TrackIR software and the game list but still no joy.

Should FSX support TrackIR out-of-the-box?

Yes - if you are running the latest TrackIR software.

I will need you to copy a file name for me. It will be located in the following location on your system.

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS

The name of the file is..

x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect

I will need to now the information that is after Simconnect in the file name. If you could copy that information and send it to me, that would be greatly appreciated.

I just need the name of the file, not the actual file.

I am having the same problem. latest version and latest games, except the blue light comes on but no movement in virtual window of FSX.

The folder name is x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9

and the file in the folder is simcoonnect.dll

Thanks for any help you can provide

First try a clean install of the TrackIR software.

1 - Uninstall the TrackIR software

2 - Delete the TrackIR 4 folder - default install location C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint

3 - Reinstall the Alpha 3 software.

Tried but still no luck. When FSX starts the Main screen of TrackerIR shows Flight Simulator X and the Blue LED flashes on for 1/2 second then off. No response from the Retail version of FSX

Yep I've tried these steps now too, letter for letter. No luck in the Deluxe version of FSX - the blue light doesn't appear at all. I've updated the software version and game list too.

My file details are as follows;
x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9\SimConnect.dll

hi,

similar problem here, latest beta3 software, track IR3 with vector expansion, works with fscof...

worked yesterday (once) with fsX...then I had to activate the fsX and closed it.

today it is not longer moving in fsX, red, green and blue LED is on, the tracking window of track ir shows movement, after fs startup it is shown as FSX beta (its the German Professional version).

Just woundering why it worked yesterday...

Did a uninstall of tackIR bete3 (without deleting the directory) and a fresh install, no changes...

any help to get it back working, it was fantastic as it did for soem minutes

Cheers

hi,

I did a repair install and got it back working, the blue LED took a while before activating during the flight...very strange, fs was completely unattached from me, no changes i did before.

BTW:

Im looking fore some tweaks and there is no FSX.CFG to find as mentioned in some tweaks...It should be a similar location like in FSCOF, or?
