I did a repair install and got it back working, the blue LED took a while before activating during the flight...very strange, fs was completely unattached from me, no changes i did before.
BTW:
Im looking fore some tweaks and there is no FSX.CFG to find as mentioned in some tweaks...It should be a similar location like in FSCOF, or?
got the fsx.CFG, was looking for the wrong writing fsx.cfg or FSX.CFG....
back to the beginning...it doesent work any more...looking for some newer matrox parhleia 256MB AGP driver, not WHQL certified... (the DX 9 bata driver did not improve the system), now testing the not vertified driver without DX9.
It seems that the WHQL certified driver gets a loss of FPS and CPU power after switchin the FSX modes (window/screen),
the system becoms slow, fs is dropping to 2-5 fps from 15 fps....
maybe this is related with th track ir problem too.
I am starting to think that it has some thing to do with Simconnect. I downloaded FSUPIC from Peter Dawson and found that it did not appear in the menu as it was suppose to. In fact I have been having a wealth of wierd problems with FSX. Read somewhere that if I had tried the Beta (which I had) wierd things may happen. Don't know if having FSX on my E drive is the causing the problem, Beta was on D drive before I removed it.
Anyone know how to determine if the Simconnect is doing what it should be doing?
I it is something that we have recently come across. It is happening a very limited number of TrackIR units, and we have been unable to reproduce the issue on our test systems.
Exactly the same problem here Vincent.
TIR 3pro, no vector, alpha 3 drivers.
All my TIR aware games (FS2004, IL2FB/AEP, Orbiter) work fine with my setup.
When I run FSX, the green light comes on, but I get no tracking in the VC. Very annoying!
