It's all gone quiet...
Any luck to be had?

Nothing new on our end to report. We are still working on a new release of the software to update several issues that have been seen.
Re: Can't get TrackIR Pro 3 to work with FSX
Thanks for your help VF19 Wolf Rider and Vincent. I was hoping to try these suggestions for a few days, but having a baby 2 days ago did disrupt my flight simming a little
I finally got to try tonight uninstalling the 4.1.028 final software and in turn install the 4.1.029 alpha 3 drivers, and then do a game update to get latest profile for FSX. Am happy to say that with that change my FSX now works perfectly with my TrackIR 3 Pro Vector! Thanks very much
Only problem I've detected so far is that unlike in FS2004, in FSX my TrackIR controls the spot plane view as well, which is a pain really because I'd rather use the hat on my yoke for that to be honest - and I can't see how to stop it doing this. Any tips on how to make it work in cockpit, but not on spot plane like in FS2k4?
And... thanks again

Congrats on the little one, hope you can get enough sleep soon
As for the new views, here is something I have posted on our website for FSX views modes.
One of the new features of FSX is the expansion of TrackIR into the different view modes. You still have use of the TrackIR in the "Virtual Cockpit" mode, with full 6 DOF support, but this has also been expanded to the other views as well. As always, to disable the TrackIR rotation in the different view modes, just press the F9 key (default) to pause the TrackIR software.

Thanks Yeah, sleep is already becoming a premium
Ok, I'm aware of being able to freeze the track IR, it's just not so convenient to take your hands off the joystick to hit a key on the keyboard. Maybe mapping a 'key' in FSUIPC might be able to work to give a button on the joystick to do this pausing?
Also for the benefit of some on this thread, since fixing TrackIR issues I still found that I needed to fix Simconnect anyway to get FSUIPC (and ASv6.5) working. I finally found that to do that with Mcafee, you need to go into the Mcafee settings, click the "Advanced" button and choose to grant full access to FSX.exe if it wasn't already done automatically (mine wasn't - but strangely it was for the FSX demo). Potentially this could help with TrackIR issues as well, but I can't be sure as I already had it working before doing this... but this definitely did fix my FSUIPC issues as well.

Re: Can't get TrackIR Pro 3 to work with FSX
Mapping the pause button to a joystick button is a very good idea, and does save having to use the keyboard.
Also good tip on the Mcafee settings, as any interference with the TCP/IP protocol can have issues with FSX working properly.

Re: Can't get TrackIR Pro 3 to work with FSX
Jesus - could it be that simple???
After weeks of not getting TrackIR to work with FSX I already quitted the job... Now with Beta4 there was new hope on the horizon - but after installing the b4-version and fsx there was still no blue light...
So I searched the forum all over again, founding something about simmconnet and a x86....-folder in winsxs, that never existed on my harddrive...
Did a search for simmconnect on c:\ - found it in C:\Programme\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib and double clicked it... Hey, simconnect stared to install and running afterwards fsx - THE BLUE LIGHT WAS THERE and TrackIR is WORKING!!!
Maybe Im the only noob who didnt recognize simconnect, but if theres anyone as dumb as me he could find the solution mentioned here...
Have fun, I gotta take a flight

Enjoy........
Re: Can't get TrackIR Pro 3 to work with FSX
I've got the same problem as many of the others. I get the YELLOW and BLUE light but nothing happens in the Virtual Screen. I've tried many of the solutions mentioned but cannot get it to work.
Is there an update for the problem in the works??????
I want to upgrade to the PRO4 but want to get PRO3 working as they both use the same drivers.
Thanks
Stanley
