Mouse Emulation problem

Post by g7rta »

Hi, I can't get nouse emulation to work with the rollercoaster simulator 'No Limits'

The emulator works fine on the desktop, but as soon as I launch the game this stops. The games uses the mouse to control your view, so it should work ?

I'm using TrackIR software 4.1 Build 29.

I did contact you about 'No Limits' a year or 2 ago, hoping that it would be added to the list of enhanced games.

see... http://www.nolimitscoaster.com/index.html

Version 3 of your software used to work with it in mouse emulation mode.

I have just tried playing 'Far Cry' using mouse modulation, & it worked fine, so it looks like the problem is just with No Limits

Is there a special way to enable mouse look mode within the application?

No, the program uses the mouse to look around as default.
As soon as you run it, the mouse controls the view. The only option it gives you to change it, is to invert the mouse.
There are no other comands that control your view, just the mouse.

I know TrackIR 3 software worked ok with it. I remember having the same problem when you brought out version 4, & someone on the forum (possibly yourself) suggested I first installed ver 3, & then install ver 4, but change or uncheck something, so that I could have both versions installed together. I can't remember exactly.
I have wiped the pc a few times since though, & in anycase the latest release includes mouse emulation (only it wont work with No Limits)

There could be some special way that the application is talking to the computer to use the mouse.

Some applications, use special drivers for mouse movement, which would not be emulated by our software.

Ok, maybe.
I'm going to give up for now, I might install TrackIR software 3 later if I can.
Thanks for your help & very quick response. I really appreciate it.

Thanks again
