Can't get TrackIR4 with Vector to work at all.

Post by dmn01 »

Hi,

I purchased a Track IR4 with Vector a few weeks ago but I've unable to get it to work (Lock On or FSX).

Ive downloaded the latest updates and so on but it still wont work (and reinstalled the software). The Software seams to work no problem with the tracking visible in the three settings windows when editing a profile. Also the green and blue indicator lights come on when the flight sims are loaded.

I have an XP machine with:
Intel E6700
Corsair Ballisix RAM
Asus P5D Deluxe Wifi Motherboard
HIS X1950XTX Graphics card
Logitech G15 Keyboard(could this be the problem?)
Logitech Mx518 Mouse

I apologise if there is a really obvious post to fix this in the forum somewhere.

Also on the help tab there is an option to Activate Vector is this necessary and if so where do I find the Serial and Hash numbers?

Cheers
Dave

NOTE: You must uncheck the box for "cockpit mouse option" to enable TrackIR to work! This can be found under Options/Cockpit of the LO-MAC settings screen.

A few users have found that TrackIR will not work after updating LO-MAC with the latest patch. If the LO-MAC configuration file has been altered then this must be returned to the default for TrackIR to work. Please refer to our LO-MAC Forum for details.

We have released a beta version of our software to support the final version of FSX. You will need to download the latest version of the software.
Run the downloaded installer file. If you havent uninstalled the previous version, it will run through an uninstall application first.
If you had to run the uninstaller, rerun the downloaded file to install the latest version.
Start the TrackIR software. You can run the software minimized by adjusting the TrackIR settings under the Options menu.
Start FSX.
Enjoy the new features of FSX, with TrackIR support.

The unit has the 6DOF features enable in the hardware, and doesn't require being enabled in the software. There is an issue in the 4.1.028 software that still allows you to try an update the TrackIR4 with vector support. If you see the vector expansion icon highlighted blue in the software, then the application sees the built in hardware vector expansion and is functioning properly.
