Getting 6DOF to work in BOB2

Post by PAW »

I have had 6DOF working once with this game already. Did a complete format of my PC, reinstalled the game with 2.04 (and now new patch 2.05) and the 6DOF is not working now.

I have checked the appropriate boxes in the Game (both of them), even turned off restricted head movement incase that was the problem.
TrackIR has all DOF checked and the "in game" head screen and "gauges" all show TrackIR functioning fully in 6DOF mode. However, once ingame, i am only getting 2DOF.
I've even been into the game files and checked that txt file for TRACKIR6DOF = ON.
Any Suggestions?

Just to make it clear, I was having the same trouble in 2.04.

Oh yeah, when i click on BOB 2 Title details in TrackIR, all the options are greyed out, but only pitch and yaw are selected. Could this be a problem? As i said, i have got this working once upon a time.

What is the Serial # of the device?
It should be located on the end of the cable, near the USB plug, or on the underside of the device.

Hmmm i think i got it working after a full reinstall. I updated the software manually to version 4.0.29 instead of automatically to 4.0.28.
That seems to have resolved the problem.
